Cathedral Steps Theatre Festival
The Cathedral Steps Theatre Festival in Erfurt has become an integral part of the Thuringian capital’s calendar of events. Every summer, the Erfurt Theatre transforms the 70 steps of the historic backdrop formed by the cathedral and St Severus’ Church into a magnificent opera or musical stage, and has so far attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors.
