Marienkirche

A visit of St. Mary’s church is among the highlights in Rostock. It is situated in the pedestrian area in the historical town centre. It is Rostock’s most beautiful church with an amazing astronomical clock. Besides the time, it has shown the signs of the Zodiac and the phases the moon since 1472. Every day at precisely midday, the Baroque figurines in the upper section of the clock portray six apostles filing past Jesus. The church can be accessed via a ramp.
