Villa Ludwigshöhe Edenkoben

“A villa in the Italianate style, exclusively for the summer months and in the most clement part of the kingdom” – Villa Ludwigshöhe in Edenkoben was a dream come true for King Ludwig I. An exquisite imitation of the neoclassical villas of old, decorated in the Pompeian Style and surrounded by a landscape of vineyards and sweet chestnut groves that are reminiscent of Italy. The villa now houses the Max Slevogt Gallery, which currently has eleven paintings on display.
