In the accessible Limeseum in Ruffenhofen, the soldier December accompanies visitors through the exhibition. December was stationed in Ruffenhofen as a cavalry soldier. This is known from a piece of his helmet on which he stamped his name. He talks about his life in exhibits, audio stations and a film. Experience stations for children round off the concept.

Right next to the Limeseum is the Ruffenhofen Roman Park, an archaeological park covering over 40 hectares, which is also accessible to wheelchair users in many areas. There, surface plantings indicate the location of individual buildings from Roman times. These include the equestrian fort, one of many on the Limes, Rome's outer border. There is also a mini fort here, a replica of the Roman cavalry fort on a scale of 1:10, as well as a reconstructed façade of a Roman longhouse with an associated garden. This is the kind of house in which the documented cavalry soldier December could have lived after his service.
