Hops - brewers' gold

The hop capital of Spalt can look back on more than one thousand years of history. Medieval buildings, the old town wall and a respect for tradition convey a real sense of the past. Spalt, home to Bavaria's only municipal brewery, is surrounded by age-old countryside with orchards and hop gardens. The new museum “HopfenBierGut” documents since 2015 the town's brewing history.
