Castle and Park Oranienburg

Royal Splendor in Oranienburg

In the year 1651,the Great Elector, Frederick I had the palace Oranienburg extended and splendidly equipped as a country seat for  his first wife Louise Henriette. The castle now houses a collection of unique works of art, including a collection of paintings and examples of royal silver in the silver vault.

In the 22-hectare castle park Oranienburg, baroque landscape art meets modern garden rooms. Recreation, cultural experience and nature enjoyment are very close together. Walking in the midst of old trees, playing pétanque, picnicking on extensive meadows, sitting and read a book in the deck chair or playing chess in the open air - in the Oranienburg castle park, you have lots of opportunities to recreate. Children can play in the park in the great games landscape including a water playground.
